The inaugural NARA advent windows proved a resounding success, with 33 households applying for the 25 slots. So that no one was disappointed, we doubled up on eight of the days. Thanks to everyone who took the time to brighten our streets. Judging by the many positive comments, it’s been greatly appreciated. It was good to see people walking around the area searching out the windows and even more heartening to see that some people had invited neighbours to gather outside drinking mulled wine and eating mince pies waiting for the unveiling of the windows From heart-warming homely scenes, to Biblical representations, via fantastical unicorns and cityscapes, there was a diverse array of originality on show. Clearly there is an immense amount of ingenuity and artistic talent in our neighbourhood. I have no doubt we will be organising a repeat for next year. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions for improvement please leave let us know. We hope you enjoyed the Living Advent Windows.
